Unlike other products from Proton Design, which are not many, Neo Symphony and Neo Desire, Envy does not get much attention it deserved. It’s shadowed by the Proton Persona in the original form itself, with a lot of improvement over its hatchback sibling, gen.2 and other models, there’s too much to talk about. Maybe. I first heard about Proton Persona Envy in one forum which I can’t remember, with only one picture attached. It looked so good that make me want to see by myself. That was about two weeks ago. Only today I had the chance to go to Proton COE (Center of Excellence) and witness the beauty by my own eyes. Sadly, I forgot to bring the camera along, so the pictures below taken using my camera phone only. Persona Envy just a concept to show how you can turn your Persona into nice and unique Proton car. However, this could be the only one Persona Envy that Proton ever built, but the idea is just to show how big the potential is. The thing with Proton is, they seldom market what they can sell. Of course they are not selling the envy, but for sure ah-beng out there will drool over Persona when they see Envy. One way of selling as well. At the parking lot, there’s few Limited Edition Savvy and Neo as well, ever heard about it? I bet you not.
The LED rear light. When asked the sales person about the availability of the lights to public, she answered me this, “No, we don’t have that in any model, You just have to go to Brothers shop. It cost about RM1,000.00 per pair”, which made me wonder, did Proton Design bought there as well? I didn’t asked the lady though.

Unfortunately, it was locked. So what we can do was just look/drool from the outside, this is one of the best interior picture I got. Orange trimming for the outside and the inside as well.
This is not the original rim, with the orange trimming as well. At the parking lot, at the MD parking lot to be exact, there’s one Persona with black rim, looked very nice. Asked the lady, she said it was customized for the customer. Since when Proton taking customized order?
This is not the R3 version, but the better looking Gen2 bodykit I ever seen. Do you know what model is this?
During the noon I was in Tanjung Malim, the Proton City. Spotted this Gen2, with CPS emblem covered with tape. Can’t see very clear in this picture but definitely read as CPS 1.6. As you can see, the bodykit is not even painted yet. Asked someone at Proton COE, said that CPS version will come out very soon. I don’t know correct or not but the picture for sure genuine.

CPS - camshaft profile switching, means the cam’s lobe profile will change (switch to high profile cam) to increase valve opening timing during intake stroke in high engine speed. thus, the air-fuel mixture will enter easily into combustion chamber. during low speed, the cam will switch to normal position. as the result, engine produce more power and low consumption.
