Thanks to MOKH997, we are now officially don’t have to wait for the stage-by-stage teaser by Proton to see the complete Proton BLM as now we have the official brochures of the Proton SAGA. The name is only SAGA, the BLM is the codename, It’s not like SAGA LMST (What’s LMST?), its just saga, the new SAGA. In previous post, we can see the clearer picture of the exterior and interior of the BLM, in this entry we can see more details about the BLM, its offering, features highlight and technical specifications minus the price.
The front side of the brochure is as above, featuring the good looking mountain blue saga. Good angle and everything but very bad photoshop by the printing/ad/graphic designer. Why can’t they make window transparent to make it more realistic. I’m talking about the passenger side window, it should display the back of the blm instead of the gray color. The message is very clear thought, A new saga begins.
From the back of the brochure, divided into three area, we can see the features highlight, the technical specifications and the BLM colors offering. More details after the jump.
More interior shot here, but quite small. The highlighted features about the BLM are:
1. Reserved, simple and always accommodating interior
2. Spacious enough for family trip - cabin space and boot space
3. Sit back and enjoy the performance - New generation campro with IAFM
4. Appreciate the quiet and drive - cabin space is quieter and driving handles well. Tuned by lotus.
5. Balik kampung with peace of mind - reinforced chassis and body structure, plus the driver airbag
6. A new era in Tea Tarik enjoyment - cup holder for every seats and lot of practical features
Other than that, we can see the interior shot from another angle which looks uncluttered but nothing really special, perfect fit for most of us. The meter cluster is colorful with all light lit on, we sure don’t want that to happen. And the engine is covered, the engine bay shot at stage-by-stage teaser and in previous post does not have the cover. That makes the engine bay look more clean. So, what’s your favorite or you appreciate the most?
The technical specification a bit unclear though, the original image received a bit poor in quality. There’s 3 line offering, new N-line, B-Line and M-Line. Looks like proton reserved the H-Line for future, hopefully to come out with dual airbags, ABS and EBD. When the demand is there, there’s no reason for proton to not supply. Unlike previous/current saga, all new saga offers power steering, central door lock, radio with CD player. No more cassette player, nice. Not sure with the MP3 support thought. The engine is the new generation 16V DOHC Campro with IAFM. There’s no specification about the FC thought but read somewhere that the FC is very good.
The Proton BLM colors available to choose from are:
1. Mountain blue
2. Metallic black
3. Solid white
4. Granite gray
5. Chili red
6. Genetic silver
7. Zircon green
I always like black, its an elegant color. I agree with what Proton trying to say, the spirit of current saga is like the very first edition of the saga, it’s built for the people.
