Proton will launch their new Proton Saga very soon, and most of us can just eagerly wait for the official launching of the car to actually be able to touch the car, feel it and look it at it with our own eyes. Recently proton held a media preview, one of fellow blogger, headsteadi stayed at the same hotel where the preview was held manage to take few shots. Unfortunately his battery run flat, bummer. Jump over to his blog for more pictures.

Some of fellow blogger, the prominent one actually, paultan was invited (i assumed) but not sure whether at the same location or not manage to test drive the car and ready his extensive review about the new BLM, hands on. Like Paultan said, other site/blog is kinda outdated already like this one because we are not lucky enough to be like him, the privilege few. So lets wait for Paultan extensive review, especially on the performance of the new generation campro with IAFM and ride and handling.
How many of us has booked the new saga? cdason did. He suggested the name of the new saga to be proton saga 2. It’s very unlikely now I think as the “official” product brochures print as saga only. Whatever the name is, the most important one is the quality of the car, hopefully proton will deliver their promise this time. The photo below taken at Proton factory at Tanjung Malim.

Hopefully, proton employees live up to its management expectation and deliver the “era kebangkitan kualiti” to us, the rakyat.

Great stuffs, My sis already booked this car because I don’t think her first car should be a Viva or Myvi like cars but a full fledge sedan. Can’t wait for her to test drive the car this coming saturday.
Anyway, form all the leaked pics I have seen, the only thing that I want to complain is the interior design, it seems too outdated and old for a brand new 2008 model. Still, price at Rm40k for a 1.3 sedan in this country has much better value(not resell) than a 1.0 Viva.
From the outside this car looks very nice though, except the black rubber/plactic strips on the doors.

I am agree with baka2008. very dont undertand why interior design almost same as Iswara. ViVa interior lebih cantik dari Proton BLM. Before see the interior I ingat 90% love the car and wanted to book but after saw the interior tak jadi beli. I cancel the booking . sorry proton . your interior memang outdated. VERY VERY VERY SAD I AM NOT GOING TO BUY BECAUSE INTERIOR LOOK CHEAP. OUTSIDE LOOK MEWAH. EVEN THE PROCE CHEAP I AM MAKE UP MY MIND NO MORE PROTON CAR FOR ME. Before Savy came out i keep waiting to see SAVY interior but also dessapointed me. I think Proton sinpan banyak stock lama dashboard all the button. so just keep it for new Proton BLM. I am very SAd.

LET CHECK WITH PERODUA STARTING FROM 1ST GENERATION KANCIL, NEW KANCIL, KENARI, KELISA, MYVI DAN VIVA ALL DONT HAVE SAME INTERIOR. WHY THEY CAN DO IT WHY PROTON CANT? SEE OUR PROTON ALWAYS LIKE TO TUKAR SIKIT INTERIOR JADIKANNYA “LIMITED EDITION ” PLEASE INVEST MORE INTO INTERIOR PRICE MAHAL SIKIT no problem . BETULKAH SEMUA PEMBACA. U ALL AGREE WHAT I AM SAID? iam the proton owner also before . Satria and Wira

Oh, and one more thing, the literal meaning of what paultan said is, not that other website is OUTDATED, but his blog is the on which is outdated because he don’t have any real update like other websites has; which mean if most of the readers already went to other sites, they know can know more about Proton BLM than what paultan is currently posted.
I have being reading blogs for a few years now, but the last few months is the only time I really started to read local blogs. I can’t believe how you’ve come.
Congratulations, keep up the good work.
Finally, about the interior, well, we actually cannot compare it with Viva and Myvi since the price is really different and the Proton BLM is all about COST-CUTTING, but what matter most is that the build quality must be good and can withstand and endure at least 10 years of continuous usage.
Viva will have a very serious competitor now and I am really looking forwad to a direct comparison between these two; driving experience, safety, fuel consumption, aesthetic, etc.
