Now that the new Proton Saga launched, and thankfully fulfill the expectation most of us. I went to the showroom hour after the official launched, I was in the meeting from 2:30pm until about 6.00pm. Luckily, I’ve my PDA with me, and guess what I’m doing at 5:30pm in the meeting? I was reading Paultan extensive review about the car hehe. After the meeting, we went to the closest Proton Edar which is walking distance from our office. There were already a lot of people there, and most of them, satisfy with the car. The salesman and woman, keep on telling about the improved campro and the quality of new Proton. The waiting time somehow a bit confusing, some salesman said 8months, some said can promised 2 months. Anyway, am not going to write any review about it. Most of us already read it and have seen it. Just wanted to test drive the car soon and maybe write about it. Hopefully to see it on the road soon, and hopefully to see a very nice turnout from aftermarket product and modification for BLM. Above is my failed attempt to lowered the car and painted it in yellow hehe.

Now the most exciting car in 2008 had launced, what car to expect next? According to Frost & Sullivan, below are the cars that going to be launched in Malaysia this year. Some of them already spotted on the road and some already have teaser website ready. The timeline are tentative only. What are the most exciting model to you? Perodua MyVi 2008 face lift?

Ever wonder how Perodua MyVi sedan would look like? Take a look at this picture. This is obviously a photoshop work, a good one. My only comment is the butt. What about you?

And the other version, with resembles most of wira on our road: MyViLution.

Both are obviously a rumours, I can’t believe some people actually believe perodua is coming out with sedan of myvi. The first design still acceptable, but the second one…. :-S

For those whose interested to buy a myvi, have a look at the pricelist. See the pattern? All models have have 80 cents at the price tag? For luck?

A man walked into a bank in New York City one day and asked for the loan officer.

He told the loan officer that he was going to Philippines on business for two weeks and needed to borrow $5,000. The bank officer told him that the bank would need some form of security for the loan.

Then the man handed over the keys to a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produced the title and everything checked out The loan officer agreed to accept the car as collateral for the loan.The bank’s president and its officers all enjoyed a good laugh at the guy for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.

An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the bank’s underground garage and parked it there.Two weeks later, the guy returned, repaid the $5,000 and the interest, which came to $15.41.

The loan officer said, “Sir, we are very happy to have had and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow “$5,000?.

The millionaire replied: “Where else in New York City can I park my car for $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return”

This is the so called shortest international bridge in the world. Located at Thousands Islands, Canada. The main/bigger island called Zavicon. The smaller island contains the backyard of the house on the larger island. The myth is that the bigger island is in Canada while the smaller one is in the US. It is disputed in wikipedia where it state both islands are actually in Canada. Proof after the jump.

Previously, there is online service that allow you to download Youtube video in .flv (flash video) file format without downloading any software, just add kiss in the URL, hence kissyoutube. Now come the better youtube downloader, not only you can download the video without installing any software, you can convert the flash video format into 6 differents format, including sound only format. This is very cool considering how many of people out there don’t know how to play flash video locally. This maybe funny for some and maybe flame for the others, especially a group often called ah-beng here in Malaysia. Car modification can be very expensive, depending on how far you go. Cosmetics modification on the exterior alone can cost about RM1,500.00 with the paint. That’s depend on the material and design use as well. I’m not making fun of anyone here, I personally want to modify my car, aesthetic and performance, only that I can’t afford it

Look like a Proton Putra to me. This is very sad…

Proton just launched their new family members, Proton Persona, or simply Gen 2 Sedan. I’m not going to write any review about it as paultan and unker Chip already did a very good job at it. Unker Chip from autoworld is purely article, no direct comment associated with his article except in the infamous autoworld forum. However, Paultan is normal blog, with hundreds of comments, reading the comments from top to the bottom of the page is very time consuming. Reading the comments is like reading a different genres of books at the same time, some of them very serious some of them very comical. I extracted some of the comments here, you may add yours…

I urge you to go look at the picture yourself, now, go on, then come back and tell me what those two gauges are!

The one on the left has a pic of a petrol pump with markings 0, 1/2 and 1/1 where as the one on the right has a pic of a thermometer with markings 60, 90, 120 degress celcius.

Now, any person with one iota of a brain would sum up that one gauge is for fuel and one is for water coolant temp - I will let you guess which one!
